DIY all natural Scented Pinecones

YLscentedpinecones

I can almost smell these!! If you’re like me you loved some scented pinecones back in the day!! The thought of bringing the chemicals that are on those pinecones into my home has kept me from buying them for years now.  I am SOOOO excited to have an all natural option to share with you that I got  from the Young Living Essential Oils Facebook page.   Gonna put a call into my hubby to get some pinecones while he is out as we don’t have any I can just go pick up off the ground.  Sniff sniff. If I were back in Alabama I could get as many as I wanted from my Nanny’s yard!!

DIY Scented Pinecones

Materials:
(based on two pounds of pinecones)
-Young Living essential oil of choice
we suggest:
Cinnamon bark, clove, cedarwood, nutmeg, orange, pine,
frankincense, spruce, myrrh, juniper, and/or peppermint
-large plastic bag
*optional:
cinnamon sticks, dried orange peels, and/or eucalyptus leaves
DIRECTIONS: Place half of the pine cones in the plastic bag and sprinkle a total of 15 drops of your chosen essential oils, add the remainder of pine cones to the bag and sprinkle with another 15 drops total of your chosen essential oil. Add the optional cinnamon sticks, dried orange peels and eucalyptus leaves.

Close bag tightly with twist tie or string and shake. Let sit for 1-4 weeks, shaking the bag 1-3 times a week.

Sounds amazing!!! I  personally am going to use THIEVES oil with a little additional cinnamon and nutmeg oil for good measure.  Thieves oil is a Young Living blend that  has clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, eucalyptus, and lemon oils combined to make one of the best smells this side of heaven!!!
